The season of Lent has begun, and we are on the spiritual journey towards Easter. Lent is a time of spiritual spring cleaning as we focus on repentance and self-denial. Often people will participate in the spiritual discipline of fasting by denying themselves of something or taking on a new spiritual practice of some kind.

We are challenging our Wesley community to the practice of reading Scripture daily by featuring a verse of the day during Lent. We can participate through our Instagram story or by visiting our mobile app

Our EasterFest theme for 2019 is Unconditionally. Our theme is centered on God's love being unconditional of our circumstances and experiences. God created each person on earth and desires to be in relationship with each of us. We believe that every person has sacred worth and is created in the image of God.

The Wesley Foundation at FSU & TCC is raising money and awareness for the Trevor Project. It is an American non-profit organization founded in 1998 focused on suicide prevention efforts among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning youth. Through a toll-free telephone number, it operates The Trevor Lifeline, a confidential service that offers trained counselors. Suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death among young people ages 10 to 24. LGBTQ+ youth seriously contemplate suicide at almost three times the rate of heterosexual youth. We believe that God values all life and that all people have sacred worth.
